Mountain Ridge - Cloud
伊賀の山際にかかる、伸びやかに横に広がっていく雲からイメージしている。雲は常に現れては消えながら、自由に形が変わっていく。明るく大らかな表情をしている時もあれば、暗く激しい印象を与える時もあるが、そのような掴みどころのない印象に人の姿を重ね合わせた。環境や時間によって変容していく人物の有り様を、具象と抽象の境界あるいは渾然と共に表している。人物のポーズは、少し滑稽にもみえるものを選んだが、表現したいことはそこから感じ取れる現実と非現実であったり、シリアスな感情だったりする。
I was inspired by the clouds stretching and spreading horizontally over the Iga mountain ridge. Clouds emerge and disappear at will, changing their shapes as they go. Sometimes they look bright and generous, and sometimes they give a dark and violent impression, overlapping the human figure with such elusive impressions. In this work, the boundary between figuration and abstraction, or the interplay between the two, is expressed in the way the figures change along with their environment and time. The postures of the figures are chosen to look a little comical, but what I want to express is the reality and unreality as well as serious emotions felt through them.
